HYI Announces New Grants

The Harvard-Yenching Institute is pleased to announce two new grants for library research and conference travel:

1.) Harvard-Yenching Library Research Grant

This grant allows Asia-based senior scholars who have published extensively the opportunity to conduct humanities and/or social science research in one or more of the specialized collections of Asian-language materials available only at the Harvard-Yenching Library. Priority is given to senior scholars working on inter-Asian comparative research projects.

2.) Conference Travel Grant

In order to increase participation of Asia-based scholars in major scholarly conferences on Asian Studies held at Harvard University, the Institute welcomes proposals from the conference organizer(s) for a grant to support up to four such scholars (preferably from more than one Asian country) per conference.

Additional information on the grants can be found in our Fellowship Programs section.
